By the middle of March, the desert was in full bloom. The primary flower color in the Sonoran Desert is yellow, with occasional orange and blue mixed in. Yellow and orange poppies bloomed close to ground. Yellow brittle bush flowers were abundant. Blue lupine flowers were present n small patches. The mesquite trees and palo verde trees and creosote bushes were all ablaze with yellow flowers. Even the prickly pear cactus were covered with pink and orange flowers by the end of March. The saguaro cactus did not bloom until May. Enjoy the pictures!
