Marilyn and I visited Saguaro East National Park, which is about 10 miles northeast of the resort at the foot of the Rincon mountain range. The park features a 10 mile one-way paved road that loops through the park. We got out several times to hike the trails and climb Havelina Rock. Then we took pictures of the sunset over the Tucson Mountains from the entrance to the park. We stopped at a small restaurant named Saguaro corners near the park for some excellent craft beer and carne asada tacos before returning to the resort. Next week, we plan to visit Saguaro West National Park and the Sonoran Desert Museum.
